  2. Post on how the presenters:
    i) pitched their product ('Branding')
The presenters introduce their product by briefly explaining its functions and methods and then it linked on to ii)
    ii) stated the Problem Statement
the Problem Statement is basically included when they are elaboration more about their product further. Some would start it off like "Would you like to save the world and make money at the same time?"
    iii) understood their users
iv) your personal reflections - what impressed you, what you though they could improve on, etc...
I watched episode 7. The first person, Dayson Soh, had an idea, which I believe would ride on the trend of current modern society; mobile games. In Singapore, we see people play games everywhere on their phones. However, having said that, there are already many mobile game markets on the App Store (for example) and it would be a quite difficult thing to compete with other companies. Things he could improve on is that he could provide more solid evidences and statistics about his idea so as to convince the 'Angels', as they looked rather unconvinced and confused as well... He could also try to articulate his ideas more.

The second person, Edwin, who take great passion in diving, has made it his business. He researched well and he states that his product/prototype is 3-4 times cheaper and that it is quite safe to use as the liability is well because there are safety precautions like being able to switch battery underwater, etc...

From this, we know that he did his homework and that he had reliable sources (9 Personal References, etc..)

One thing he could mainly improve on is his nervousness because if he runs his business, he have to meet many potential investors and confidence is one important factor that investors look in a company.
    2) Question: Is Perception (for various brands) Reality? (i.e. does Brand A shoes make you run faster than Brand B shoes?)
Perception is not reality. There is no proof that Brand A shoes make you run faster than Brand B shoes. If both are made for same purpose, for example sports, Nike & Adidas, they could probably be the same. Companies use advertising techniques to emotionally appeal to us and make us perceive things on what they say. So, it maybe true, but most of the time, it is just for marketing purposes.
